Jon K. Nisbet, M.D.
Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine

Dr. Nisbet is now in his nineteenth year of practice in Tucson as a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopy and knee & shoulder surgery. His training includes an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Davis, a medical degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and orthopaedic residency at the University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Nisbet also served as the Director of the Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Arizona Section of Orthopaedic Surgery and completed fellowship training in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Salt Lake City.

Dr. Nisbet is a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery in the University of Arizona Department of Orthopedic Surgery and is active in the education of medical students, orthopedic residents and sports medicine fellows at the University. He serves as team orthopaedic surgery consultant for Sabino High School (1997 to present), the Department of Athletics at the University of Arizona (1992 to present), the Tucson Sidewinders AAA baseball team (1998 to present) and the Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training in Tucson (1998 to present). He also has served as orthopaedic coverage for many community events such as the Fiesta de los Vacqueros and the Fort Lowell Shootout.

Dr. Nisbet is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery since 1994, a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the Tucson Orthopaedic Society and the Arizona Orthopaedic Society.
